The Integration Architect, Healthcare Technology Management is a senior technical individual contributor responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing enterprise system integrations that support Beth Israel Lahey Health Healthcare Technology Management operations. The role serves as the technical integration architect for HTM systems, medical equipment operational data, vendor platforms, remote diagnostics, cybersecurity and device-monitoring tools, and approved enterprise platforms including ServiceNow/Nuvolo.Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Serves as the technical integration architect for HTM systems, defining data flows, system interfaces, integration patterns, and technical specifications aligned with BILH Information Systems standards and governance.
2. Designs and leads enterprise integrations between HTM systems, vendor systems, remote monitoring technologies, cybersecurity/device-monitoring platforms, and approved enterprise applications.
3. Leads technical initiatives to sunset legacy HTM databases and migrate data into approved enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow/Nuvolo.
4. Designs and oversees data conversions and ingestion pipelines from legacy and vendor-hosted databases, ensuring data integrity, traceability, validation, and appropriate reconciliation.
5. Develops, coordinates, and supports API-based integrations, flat-file imports, automated feeds, and other data-exchange methods supporting HTM operations, analytics, regulatory compliance, and quality requirements.
6. Coordinates integrations among Nuvolo, vendor service and asset databases, remote equipment monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions, cybersecurity and medical-device monitoring platforms, and diagnostic imaging or imaging informatics platforms as applicable.
7. Acts as the technical liaison among HTM, Clinical Systems Engineering, Information Services, vendors, and third-party integrators to ensure solutions meet architectural, security, data, and operational requirements.
8. Works within established BILH governance frameworks for enterprise architecture, system integration, cybersecurity, change management, data stewardship, and technical documentation.
9. Partners with Information Security and Clinical Systems Engineering to ensure integrations support cybersecurity monitoring, vulnerability-management, and risk-assessment requirements for connected medical technologies.
10. Supports regulatory and quality initiatives by enabling data transparency, auditability, traceability, and system-wide surveillance of healthcare technology assets.
11. Manages multiple concurrent integration initiatives and technical workstreams, balancing operational urgency, project dependencies, data quality, and enterprise standards.
12. Translates HTM operational and business requirements into clear technical requirements, integration designs, and specifications consumable by Information Services teams, vendors, and third-party integrators.
13. Partners closely with the Data Analyst, Healthcare Technology to ensure downstream data structures, reporting, analytics, data quality, and workflow requirements are supported by upstream integration design.
14. Documents integration architecture, system interfaces, data flows, technical dependencies, validation results, and support requirements to promote maintainability and continuity.
15. Evaluates emerging integration technologies, vendor capabilities, APIs, automation opportunities, and enterprise platform features and makes technical recommendations to the Director, Clinical Systems Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Engineering, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Licensure, Certification & Registration: Relevant technical, cloud, integration, ServiceNow, cybersecurity, or project-management certification preferred; none required.
Experience: Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in systems integration, data architecture, enterprise application integration, or a closely related technical discipline required. Experience working in healthcare information systems environments required. Experience integrating CMMS, EAM, clinical, operational healthcare, vendor-hosted, or medical-technology systems preferred
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge of API integration, system interfaces, data migration, transformation, ingestion, and enterprise application integration concepts.
• Experience with enterprise platforms; ServiceNow/Nuvolo experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare data workflows, system interoperability, and technical governance in a complex healthcare environment.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts related to connected systems, medical technology, vulnerability management, and secure data exchange.
• Ability to design integration architecture while also providing hands-on technical execution and troubleshooting.
• Strong project management, prioritization, technical documentation, validation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate effectively within matrixed governance structures and balance enterprise standards with operational urgency.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders and ability to function as a technical translator among HTM, Information Services, vendors, and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
• Master's degree in a relevant technical or healthcare discipline.
• Experience with ServiceNow/Nuvolo, CMMS/EAM platforms, healthcare technology ecosystems, medical-device data, or Clinical Engineering workflows.
• Experience with vendor-hosted databases, remote equipment monitoring, predictive-maintenance technologies, or medical-device monitoring platforms.
• Experience with enterprise APIs, automated ingestion pipelines, data validation, and large-scale data migration.
• Relevant ServiceNow, integration, cloud, cybersecurity, data, or project-management certification.
Dept./Unit-Specific Skills:
• Ability to translate HTM asset, service, regulatory, cybersecurity-surveillance, lifecycle, and capital-planning needs into technical integration requirements.
• Ability to design integrations that support equipment data transparency, traceability, quality, and downstream analytics.
• Knowledge of CMMS/EAM data structures, medical equipment asset information, service data, vendor data, and related healthcare technology workflows.
• Ability to coordinate technical work across Information Services, Clinical Systems Engineering, cybersecurity, data governance, vendors, and HTM operations without direct supervisory authority
Pay Range:
$140,000.00 USD - $160,000.00 USDThe pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
