Radiology Technologist Senior

Job Description

Intermountain Health seeks a Senior Radiology Technologist to perform advanced diagnostic imaging and serve as a technical resource in a patient-centered, mission-driven environment. Based in our Utah facilities, you will conduct high-quality radiologic procedures, optimize radiation safety, and ensure accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment. This senior role includes mentoring technologists, supporting protocol development, and collaborating closely with radiologists, nurses, and providers. Responsibilities

  • Perform and document a full range of diagnostic radiology procedures with high image quality and patient safety.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, education, positioning, and radiation protection for all exams.
  • Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, PACS, and related systems to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Serve as a senior technical resource, mentoring and training junior technologists and students.
  • Assist with protocol optimization, quality control, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support accurate, timely diagnosis and treatment.
  • Monitor and maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment in accordance with infection control policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, performance initiatives, and department projects aligned with Intermountain's mission.
