This position supports cardiac monitoring and virtual patient observation services. Based on operational needs, the Cardiopulmonary Technician is assigned to either the telemetry monitoring station or the TeleSitter station during each shift. When assigned to telemetry monitoring, responsibilities include continuously observing cardiac telemetry data; identifying, interpreting, and documenting changes in heart rhythm and potential arrhythmias; and promptly communicating pertinent findings to the appropriate nurse or provider in accordance with department standards. When assigned to the TeleSitter station, the Cardiopulmonary Technician remotely observes multiple hospitalized patients through real-time video and two-way audio from a centralized monitoring station.
