Job Summary: Responsible for insurance verification, initial authorization for treatment/procedures, estimation and collection and/or resolution of patient responsibility on all inpatients, observations, and scheduled outpatient procedures as defined within the scope of their population. Must maintain current knowledge of requirements for managed care and government programs to maximize reimbursement for services provided. Ability to calculate and communicate amounts due to patient population served.
