Job Summary: Responsible for Insurance Verification for all Medical Oncology and Hematology services. Verify current and accurate insurance information for patients and work with insurance companies to obtain proper authorization. Must maintain current knowledge of insurance coverage requirements and documentation as it relates to oncology reimbursement.
Qualifications: High school graduate and 1 year insurance verification or registration experience required in a hospital or physician office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent computer/technology skills and application ability. EPIC and Aria experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans and products, coordination of benefits guidelines and requirements for authorizations, precertification, and referrals preferred. Proficiency in working with payor on-line portals preferred
