Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Endoscopy Technician position is to assist in the performance of all procedures in the endoscopy unit involving quality patient care. Under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse, performs various duties to assist in Endoscopy Procedures and other related Special Procedure activities. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required. Certificate for Endoscopy Technician required. Applicants who do not possess required certificate, must have two (2) years of Endoscopy related experience. The Endoscopy Technician performs various patient care activities related to treatment and care of endoscopy services. Provide support for physicians and nurses during endoscopy procedures. Prepare and maintain instruments and equipment. Anticipates needs of the room. May obtain specimens. The Endoscopy Technician 2 will assist MD/RN during basic and advanced procedures.  Acts as a resource for peers and precepts new team members.
