Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Responsible for answering Multi-Line Telephone system, scheduling and attending correct patient, assignment of patient to appropriate provider and type of visit, verifies and updates patient data and, collects co-pay and/ or balance due, balancing, opening and closing of cash drawer daily, faxing, filing, scanning, sorting mail.  MUST provide excellent customer service at all times.

Performs standard and advanced technical support to all rehab and fitness programs in multiple patient and customer settings: Transitional Care Unit, Inpatient, Outpatient and Fitness Center. Appointment scheduling and front office support, facility and equipment management, cleaning, sanitizing, QA checklist completion. Provides skilled and non skilled patient care assistance with direct oversight of licensed therapist in multiple patient care settings (PT/OT/ST/Cardiac Rehab/Sports Medicine). Open and close Fitness Center and oversee member safety, security, and equipment utilization during shift.

Schedules patients for outpatient procedures. Registers patients for outpatient procedures. Registers and pre-registers patients for scheduled procedures including phone registration. Recepts and registers ED patients. Reviews and updates existing demographic information with each customer including witnessing the customer/family member’s signature on all registration forms. Verifies insurance on all patients and places a note under each account. Reviews registrations for errors. Scans all registration documents once completed. Collects co pays and or deductibles when applicable. Prepares a daily deposit and balances out with the next employee. Performs as a relief person for switchboard. Performs multiple tasks simultaneously keeping information organized for processing. Ensures that customer service policies and guidelines are followed. Communicates well with all customers including physicians and hospital staff.

Front line leader of the Nutritional Services Dept. to ensure smooth operations for the Department related to services provided for patients, staff and cafeteria patrons.  Maintains/assures high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in tray line/cafeteria/production and clerical areas to meet guidelines. Leads employees by assisting Supervisor/Director with day to day department activities.  Visits/calls patients for food preferences & takes responsibility for tray accuracy. Completes paperwork/documentation to meet regulatory guidelines. Assumes responsibility for supervising dietary staff & department on week-ends. The Food and Nutritional Services Supervisor oversees daily departmental operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of nutritional services in alignment with hospital policies and Joint Commission standards. Working closely with leadership, clinical dietitians, and staff, the supervisor manages purchasing, inventory control, scheduling, and documentation to support high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include supervising food procurement and storage, maintaining accurate records and reports, coordinating staff schedules, and supporting patient care through both onsite services and telehealth. The role also assists with patient interactions, appointment coordination, and follow-up education, requiring strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Collects  specimens by venipuncture, arterial puncture, and capillary puncture.  Collects and instructs patients in collection of drug screens, urine specimens, 24 hour urine specimens and stool specimens. Processes inpatient and outpatient specimens. Performs waived testing.

Provides basic age-appropriate bedside care and procedures. Transcribes Physician orders and maintains general functions of the nurses’ station. Must provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone. Computer skilled are required.
