The Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist 2 assists the physician in performing interventional, cardiovascular, and operating room procedures. Produces images to actively assist the attending physician.   Uses pre-established imaging protocols and departmental policy to perform safe operation of imaging equipment and all functions of the job. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis. Maintains x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; performs preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts outside service for major malfunctions.
