Summary The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital (HCMH) complex.  Duties include patrolling interior and exterior areas to provide a visible deterrent to criminal activity; directing visitors and patients to appropriate locations; and interacting with patients to ensure they are checked into the Emergency Department (ED) properly and efficiently.  Security Officers also monitor surveillance equipment; detect criminal and suspicious activity which threaten patient, visitors, and staff safety and security; respond to situations that require a security intervention; and execute decontamination procedures for potentially hazardous situations involving chemical or biological materials.  Security Officers are responsible for documenting all incidents, accidents, and emergencies, and may be called upon to testify in criminal or civil court proceedings.    Education and Formal Training:  Criminal...

Summary Assumes responsibilities of a Surgical Technologist which include but not limited to preparing the operating room, including the sterile field, setting up surgical equipment, supplies and solutions.  During surgery, surgical technologists pass instruments, fluids and supplies to the surgeon and prepare and manage surgical equipment.  Surgical Technologist simultaneously manages the sterile field and specimens.  Surgical technologists perform a count of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects   Education and Formal Training:  High School diploma or equivalent. LPN, CNA, EMT, or Medical Assistants may apply. Graduate from an accredited surgical tech program is desired. Will have current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of hire date. Work Experience:   Work experience as a Surgical Tech and/or one year work experience as a licensed/certified LPN, CNA, EMT or Medical Office Assistant required.
