Performs various tasks related to cleaning and sanitation. Washes pots/pans/utensils/dishes according to established procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Collects and disposes of trash and garbage. Keeps work area neat and clean. Does daily and weekly cleaning following cleaning schedules. Handles and stores food and supplies according to guidelines. Disposes of garbage. Keeps carts cleaned and sanitized. Performs organizing, straightening, cleaning, stocking, sweeping, and mopping. Delivers and retrieves trays according to policy. Delivers floor stock. Does dishwashing (pots and pans/3-comp sink, dish machine per policy). Front line leader of the Nutritional Services Dept. to ensure smooth operations for the Department related to services provided for patients, staff and cafeteria patrons.  Maintains/assures high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in tray line/cafeteria/production and clerical areas to meet guidelines. Leads employees by assisting Supervisor/Director with day to day department activities.  Visits/calls patients for food preferences & takes responsibility for tray accuracy.
