Apply Description Job Summary The Food Service Worker II will include the duties of FSW I with the additional responsibility of task related to the Diet Office and Call Center. The FSW II will assist with orders for patients. Maintain the office supplies and run reports. This position will comply will all cafeteria, food and beverage regulation guidelines outlined in the facility Food Service manual. This position includes duties related to utility, food preparation, assembly tasks, and cafeteria duties. The patients’ demographics range from newborn through children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. There is minimal access to patient health information.

Patient hot meals are prepared under the “cook to order” room service delivery system. The Cook has the responsibility to ensure that all entrees are heated to proper temperatures in a 20 minute time frame and that the sanitation of the equipment and work areas are maintained according to Health Department codes. There is no access to patient health information.

Apply Description The Tea Room Cook sole responsibility is the preparation of food.  The responsibility also includes opening the Tea room up in the mornings and cooking food for breakfast and lunch.  Has no access to patient health information. Shift: PRN Requirements High School Diploma/GED required. Familiarity with methods of food preparation, serving, sanitation, storage, kitchen equipment and charging for services. Ability to interact effectively with people. Ability to do computations. Previous food service experience mandatory. Ability to stand and walk for most of the working day. Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Knowledge of work to be performed and ability to supervise work of others. Prefer one year of supervisory experience in a hospital or extended care facility food service setting. Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds Stands and walks most of the day. Must be able to withstand heat and temperature changes while going in and out of refrigerated or freezer areas.
