Job Summary: Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, e.g., menu selections and corrections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery, Opening and closing the kitchen as needed.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Health care experience involving food services or 2 years of experience in service industry preferred. Good communication skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete simple computational skills. Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred with the ability to train new hires. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Some bending, lifting, pushing and pulling required. Ability to work in a team environment. Possesses necessary skills to effectively operate hospital's admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) system and other computer-based systems, which manage patient-care records. Must possess ServSafe Certification. Ability to open/close kitchen keeping safety a top priority. Must possess the ability to lead by example. Must have zero corrective action during the previous 12 months.
