Pay according to Union Scale- RRT $35.42- $53.92, CRT $31.08- $47.31, DOE, EOE

NORMAL WORKING DAYS/HOURS: Monday- Friday

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Respiratory Therapist will work in a variety of settings to evaluate, treat, and manage patients of all ages with respiratory illnesses and other cardiopulmonary disorders. The Respiratory Therapist participates in clinical decision-making and patient education, develops and implements respiratory care plans, applies patient-driven protocols, utilized evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, and participates in health promotion, disease prevention, and disease management. The Respiratory Therapist may be required to exercise considerable independent judgment, under the supervision of a physician, in the respiratory care of patients.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate of accredited school of respiratory therapy with NBRC credentialing
  • Must have a Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner Certificate
  • Be proficient in and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Must be able to operate computer system with good keyboarding skills.

Qualifications
