SUMMARY
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role ensures high-quality imaging, maintains patient safety, and provides compassionate care while adhering to established clinical and regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (associate’s degree or higher) required. Graduate of a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or equivalent preferred. Additional formal training in computed tomography (CT) required.
1–2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred. Prior experience performing CT procedures preferred. Clinical experience in diagnostic imaging during education required. Experience in hospital or outpatient imaging settings preferred. Demonstrated competency in patient care, safety, and imaging procedures.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) required. ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required or obtained within 6-12 months. State licensure required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, Ongoing continuing education (CE) to maintain ARRT certification and state registration. Compliance with employer credentialing, health screenings, and background checks.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Ability to assist patients with movement and positioning, including lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance. Manual dexterity to operate imaging equipment and controls. Requires visual acuity to review imaging results and operate equipment
