Required Qualifications:
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology or Biological Science required.
Required Work Experience: 3 years’ full time experience required for exceptional internal candidates, 5 or more years’ experience highly preferred and required by external applicants. Experience must include at least one year of flow cytometry experience.
License/Registration/Certification: ASCP certified generalist or categorical Technologist or equivalent accreditation required.

1. Demonstrates autonomy, capability and capacity to lead multiple projects and assist with staffing needs under the direction of department leadership.
2. Must possess the analytical abilities necessary to perform high, moderate, and waived complexity test procedures with a high degree of accuracy and an understanding of their relevance to specific patient conditions. Must be able to achieve expected turn around time for reporting patient test results and manage the psychological stress encountered in meeting these requirements.
3. Judgment decisions are required especially during technically difficult and emergency situations. Must realize the importance
and consequences of reported laboratory data and resulting interventions.
4. To accommodate the need of the lab, must demonstrate flexibility with regard to work assignments, workflow, and schedule.
5. Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Pay Range:
$48.30 - $65.01The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
Anna Jaques Hospital is a 123 bed community hospital serving 17 cities and towns in the Merrimack Valley . The hospitals Non Invasive Vascular laboratory was accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL).
For the second year in a row, the American Association for Respiratory Care awarded the hospital its Quality Respiratory Care Recognition. The hospital had no ventilator acquired pneumonia cases during the last year.
The Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center is the only such center to receive full accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) in Massachusetts .
