Work hours: PRN (as needed), clinical operation hours: Monday – Friday; 4:45am-4:30pm

· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
· 1 Year Customer Service experience required
· CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate Upon Hire preferred
· Requires good written, oral, and telephone communication skills.
· Requires knowledge of general office equipment, PC’s and associated software packages.
· Ability to type 35 WPM corrected for errors.
· General knowledge of medical terminology.
What You Will Do
· Accurately gathers complete financial and demographic information to ensure medical records/billing process flows efficiently.
· Obtains and/or updates verification of benefits and/or pre-certification for applicable tests and/or procedures
· Prepares, presents, and thoroughly explains applicable legal, ethical, and compliance documents; ensures proper consents are signed by the appropriate parties. Maintains documentation of the same
· Maximizes reimbursement for services rendered by appropriately identifying insurance carrier, benefits, etc. Prevents denials by ensuring timely notification of admission to insurance carriers
· Assists patients in understanding financial obligations; collects co-payments, self-pay deposits, and patient balances to reduce Accounts Receivable.
· Remains aware of and complies with applicable regulations, entity and/or system policies and procedures. Maintains customer service and/or productivity guidelines set forth by applicable leadership.

Entity Highlights
Texas Health Southlake has served the Southlake community and surrounding areas of Grapevine, Colleyville, Trophy Club, Westlake, Roanoke, and northeast Tarrant County since opening in 2004. As Southlake's first hospital, the facility offers a highly specialized surgical environment with 17 inpatient suites, six observation suites, six operating rooms, and a 24/7 emergency department.
Texas Health Southlake provides care across multiple surgical and medical specialties, including orthopedics, spine surgery, colorectal surgery, ENT, women's health, general surgery, internal and family medicine, imaging services, and emergency care. The hospital's spine surgery program performs more than 300 spine procedures annually and is supported by coordinated pain management, rehabilitation, and physical therapy services. Texas Health Southlake earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery (ACSS), recognizing excellence in quality outcomes, standardized clinical processes, and comprehensive patient care. The certification represents the highest level of Joint Commission recognition for spine programs and requires participation in a national spine registry and adherence to rigorous performance standards.
Texas Health Southlake has been recognized nationally for orthopedic and spine care and continues to maintain high patient satisfaction scores. The hospital has received U.S. News & World Report recognition for high-performing orthopedic procedures, including hip replacement and spinal fusion, and has earned numerous awards for patient experience, employee engagement, physician engagement, and clinical quality.

Located on 33 acres in Rockwall just south of interstate 30, Texas Health Rockwall offers 60 inpatient beds for acute medical and surgical needs. The hospital continues to grow and visiting campus today you will find a Women's Imaging and Breast Center, a bariatric clinic, an ambulatory surgery center and a variety of physician practices all dedicated to our evolving community health needs. You will see that our long awaited expansion is well underway! This expansion, focused on a healthy future in this high growth area of North Texas, will double the size of our hospital adding more patient beds, a Level 2 NICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and expanding other departments including Labor & Delivery, OR and the emergency room.
