Description:

• Provides direct patient care in all phases of surgery: Pre-operative, intra-operative, post anesthesia care unit, and post-operative. This position also requires central sterile processing functions. This includes cleaning, preparing/packaging of instruments, and sterilization of instruments and supplies.
• Prepares the operating room for surgery, assists the surgeon as scrub person, and ensures availability, sterility, and safety of all supplies and equipment in Surgery and Central Supply. 

Days and Shifts:
Work 3 days a week, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, varied.

Requirements

• Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse
• ACLS, BLS, & PALS certification within 6 months
• Mandatory Reporter certification within 6 months of hire
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well
• Preferred experience/knowledge:  1 year RN, scrubbing, AORN standards
