$63.45 - $95.20MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and continual oversight of the service line quality management plan.
Directs human resource activities which includes supervision to the service line quality team, interviewing and selection of new teammates, promotions, teammate development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of teammate concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall teammate engagement.
Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives and drives approval of new partnerships and legal agreements to expand quality initiatives and value-based contracts.
Designs, develops, and implements change management strategies to focus on improving service line quality and health outcomes. Creates a culture of improvement for exemplary top decile quality outcomes by leading process improvement initiatives.
Responsible for oversight of service line regulatory and accreditation readiness and compliance, including any specialty-specific initiatives, commissions, programs, reporting, screenings across market.
Oversees the identification, design, and implementation of key quality improvement priorities to achieve top decile targets in service line metrics, including publicly reported metrics, quality measures for disease- specific quality councils, CMS measures, registry databases and physician compensation measures for citizenship.
Responsible for regional and site oversight of service line documentation system and associated processes, including oversight of organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, policy committees and work teams, charters, and scope of work for quality councils.
Submits abstracts, posters, results and innovations to national publications and makes presentations at national conferences.
Identifies and applies national and regional best practices, benchmarks, and quality tactics to enhance service line’s quality outcomes. Disseminates quality measure performance data to all clinicians while guiding improvement efforts.
Directs community outreach to support disease control, awareness, and early detection with particular focus on at-risk communities experiencing disparities in access and outcomes.
Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
License/Registration/Certification Required: Registered Nurse License
Education Required: Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration
Experience Required: Typically requires 7 years of experience
with quality, regulatory requirements, project management, and continuous quality improvement principles. Includes 7 years of management experience in a healthcare and regulatory environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Skilled presenter and communicator with expert oral and written communication skills suitable for multiple audiences, including executives, internal and external stakeholders and clinicians.
Proficient in change management.
Knowledge of industry trends and latest information regarding quality, clinical care delivery, operations, population health, regulatory compliance, and value-based care.
Skills in critical thinking and solving operational processes to identify the challenges around local and regional quality and regulatory compliance.
Comprehensive understanding of health care delivery and health care dynamics within a large matrixed integrated health care system.
Experience with quality and performance improvement methodologies, principles (i.e. Lean), and associated processes and tools.
Extensive regulatory knowledge including external agency requirements with a skill in addressing local and systemic opportunities for improvement.
