Speech Language Pathologist

Intermountain Health seeks a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to assess and treat adults and children with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in a collaborative, team-based setting. In this role, you will perform comprehensive evaluations, design evidence-based treatment plans, document outcomes, and educate patients and families to support optimal function and quality of life. Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and adjust interventions based on patient progress and goals.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, rehab therapists, and families to coordinate integrated, patient-centered care.
• Conduct and interpret standardized assessments, documenting findings and outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Provide patient and family education on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and home exercise programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, discharge planning, and care-transition processes.
• Supervise or mentor students/CFYs as appropriate and support staff education on communication and swallowing needs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards, including HIPAA and payer requirements.
