Intermountain Health seeks a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to assess and treat adults and children with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in a collaborative, team-based setting. Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and adjust interventions based on patient progress and goals.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, rehab therapists, and families to coordinate integrated, patient-centered care.
- Conduct and interpret standardized assessments, documenting findings and outcomes in the electronic health record.
- Provide patient and family education on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and home exercise programs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, discharge planning, and care-transition processes.
- Supervise or mentor students/CFYs as appropriate and support staff education on communication and swallowing needs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards, including HIPAA and payer requirements.
