Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures following physician orders and UCHealth protocols
  • Operate and maintain radiology equipment ensuring high-quality, accurate imaging
  • Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and provide safe, compassionate care
  • Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA standards for patients and staff
  • Position patients correctly and adjust technical factors to obtain optimal images
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnoses
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate electronic medical records
  • Monitor patients during and after imaging, responding to changes in condition
  • Follow infection prevention, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in ongoing education, competency validation, and process improvement
