Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures following physician orders and UCHealth protocols
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment ensuring high-quality, accurate imaging
- Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and provide safe, compassionate care
- Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA standards for patients and staff
- Position patients correctly and adjust technical factors to obtain optimal images
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnoses
- Document procedures and maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Monitor patients during and after imaging, responding to changes in condition
- Follow infection prevention, quality, and regulatory standards
- Participate in ongoing education, competency validation, and process improvement
Required Skills
- Diagnostic radiography (X-ray positioning and techniques)
- Operation of digital radiography and fluoroscopy equipment
- Radiation safety and dose optimization (ALARA)
