Radiologic Technologist

Job Description

UCHealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging that supports accurate, timely patient care. In this on-site role, you will obtain and assess radiographic images using advanced digital equipment while prioritizing safety, comfort, and clear communication. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging procedures following physician orders and UCHealth protocols
  • Operate and maintain X-ray and related imaging equipment safely and effectively
  • Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality images while ensuring comfort and safety
  • Follow radiation safety standards, ALARA principles, and infection control policies
  • Verify patient identity, obtain history, and explain procedures to patients and families
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment
  • Assess images for quality and completeness, repeating views as clinically necessary
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate electronic health records
  • Support training and mentorship of students or new technologists as needed
  • Participate in continuous learning, quality improvement, and compliance initiatives

Required Skills

  • Diagnostic radiography (X-ray positioning and techniques)
  • Operation of digital radiography equipment and PACSRadiation safety and dose optimization (ALARA)
  • Patient positioning and immobilization
  • Venipuncture and IV contrast preparation (if applicable)
  • Infection prevention and control practices
  • Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
  • Communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Image quality assessment and troubleshooting
  • Time management in fast-paced clinical environments
