Job Description

UCHealth is seeking a Radiologic Tech for our Urgent Care Float Pool. In this role, you'll provide high-quality diagnostic imaging for diverse patients across multiple urgent care locations. Responsibilities include performing X-ray exams, ensuring ALARA-based radiation safety, and maintaining equipment readiness. You'll work closely with providers and nurses to support rapid, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiologic examinations for urgent care patients following physician orders and established protocols
  • Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring proper settings, image quality, and radiation safety practices
  • Verify patient identity, explain procedures, obtain consent, and position patients to ensure accurate imaging and comfort
  • Apply ALARA radiation safety principles, using shielding and exposure minimization for patients and staff
  • Assess images for diagnostic quality and submit studies to PACS for timely provider review
  • Document procedures, patient histories, and imaging details accurately in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with urgent care providers, nurses, and support staff to prioritize and coordinate imaging needs
  • Float among multiple UCHealth urgent care locations, adapting to varying volumes and workflows
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean, safe, and ready-for-use condition
  • Participate in ongoing education, competency validation, and quality improvement initiatives
