St. David's North Austin Medical Center, a premier provider including women's health, orthopedics, cardiovascular services, and robotic surgery, is currently seeking a qualified CT Technologist for our Pflugerville Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED). This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility within the St. David's HealthCare system, renowned for excellence in patient care and medical innovation. The CT Technologist will be responsible for using computerized tomography (CT) scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal structures, aiding in the treatment and diagnosis processes guided by our commitment to patient safety and quality healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images according to physician instructions.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during scans, providing clear instructions to patients and adjusting techniques as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all facility health and safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists to evaluate images and determine necessity for additional tests.
- Regularly inspect and perform basic maintenance of CT imaging equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to stay current with the latest in technological advancements and medical protocols.
