Job Description
Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso seeks a CT Technologist II (PRN) to perform high quality CT imaging for a diverse border community. In this on site role, you'll conduct CT exams using established protocols, ensure accurate patient identification and history, and position patients safely for optimal images. You'll monitor patients throughout procedures, follow radiation safety and infection control standards, and collaborate closely with radiologists and nurses. Working in our compassionate, patient first culture, you'll support timely, accurate diagnostics while demonstrating professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and teamwork in a fast paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols
- Verify patient identification, history, and exam requirements
- Position patients safely and comfortably for optimal image quality
- Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergent conditions
- Apply radiation safety and ALARA principles for patients and staff
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams on imaging needs
- Document exams, charge capture, and patient information accurately
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report malfunctions promptly
- Support patient-first service standards, privacy, and cultural sensitivity
