Job Description
As a Rad Tech at HCA Healthcare, you will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Working in a fast-paced clinical setting, you'll position patients, operate radiographic equipment, and follow strict radiation safety and infection control standards. You'll collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and providers, document exams in PACS/EMR, and ensure compassionate, patient-centered care while contributing to a culture of teamwork, learning, and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician orders and protocols.
- Verify patient identity, obtain history, and explain procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Position patients and operate radiographic equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards.
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists on retakes or additional views.
- Maintain accurate documentation in PACS/EMR and comply with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Ensure proper care, calibration, and cleanliness of imaging equipment and exam rooms.
- Follow infection control, patient privacy, and safety policies at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement, and cross-functional teamwork across the facility.
