Job Description
Wesley Medical Center is seeking a Rad Tech Diagnostic to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will operate radiographic equipment, position patients safely, follow ALARA principles, and collaborate closely with radiologists and nurses to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include verifying orders, preparing patients, maintaining imaging equipment, documenting procedures in the EMR, and adhering to infection control and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic exams per provider orders
- Verify patient identity and exam orders; explain procedures and obtain cooperation
- Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images
- Apply radiation safety standards and ALARA principles for patients and staff
- Ensure image quality and transmit studies via PACS to radiologists
- Document procedures accurately within the EMR and departmental systems
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and report issues with radiographic equipment
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support patient care
- Participate in call, weekend, or holiday rotations as needed

- Diagnostic radiography (X-ray)

- Anatomy and radiographic pathology knowledge
