Pulmonary Function Technologist

Piedmont Healthcare seeks a Pulmonary Function Technologist to perform comprehensive pulmonary function tests supporting accurate diagnosis and management of respiratory conditions. In this on-site role, you will conduct spirometry, lung volumes, DLCO, and related studies, prepare and coach patients, and ensure precise data collection and equipment calibration. Responsibilities

• Perform complete pulmonary function tests including spirometry, lung volumes, and DLCO following established protocols.
• Prepare and educate patients for testing, ensuring comfort, safety, and understanding of procedures.
• Calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot pulmonary function equipment to maintain accurate and reliable results.
• Accurately document test data and patient information in the electronic medical record and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and nurses to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Maintain strict infection control, quality assurance, and safety standards in the testing environment.
• Assist with training of new staff or students and participate in ongoing competency and education programs.
