Imaging Technologist

Imaging Technologist - SSM Health SSM Health, a Catholic, not for profit health system, is seeking an Imaging Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high quality diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate image acquisition to support clinical decision making. You will collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other caregivers while using advanced imaging technology and PACS/RIS systems. Responsibilities

• Perform high quality diagnostic imaging exams according to physician orders and SSM Health protocols.
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures, obtain consent, and ensure safety and comfort throughout exams.
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists and providers on additional views as needed.
• Document procedures, enter orders, and manage images within PACS/RIS and the electronic medical record.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, perform basic quality control, and report malfunctions promptly.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards, including radiation safety and HIPAA requirements.
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate efficient, patient centered care.
• Participate in ongoing education, competencies, and quality improvement initiatives.
