Adventist Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support safe, efficient surgical care in a mission-driven, faith-based environment. This role prepares operating rooms, surgical instruments, and sterile supplies; maintains strict aseptic technique; and assists surgeons and nurses during procedures. The Surgical Technologist helps ensure accurate instrument and sponge counts, operates and cares for sterilization equipment, and supports documentation and specimen handling. You'll work collaboratively with a compassionate team dedicated to whole-person care, professional growth, and service to the community.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic and infection-control techniques throughout procedures
- Verify and account for instruments, sponges, and supplies before and after surgery
- Operate and care for sterilization and surgical equipment
- Collaborate with the OR team to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow
- Support documentation and handling of specimens according to policy
