Job Description
Tufts Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging in a fast-paced academic medical center. In this role, you will operate advanced CT equipment, follow established protocols, and collaborate with radiologists and care teams to deliver accurate, timely diagnostic images. You will ensure patient safety and comfort, optimize radiation dose, start IVs and administer contrast, and maintain precise documentation in PACS/RIS and the EMR. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced CT exams according to department protocols
- Ensure patient identification, safety screening, and informed consent
- Position patients accurately and maintain comfort and communication throughout exams
- Administer IV contrast safely, monitoring for reactions and complications
- Optimize image quality while minimizing radiation dose
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to support timely diagnosis
- Document procedures accurately in PACS/RIS and the EMRMaintain CT equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and report service needs
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Support training and mentoring of students or new staff as needed
