Intermountain Health seeks a Registered Nurse Program Coordinator - Ortho Surgery to lead coordinated, patient-centered care for orthopedic surgical patients. In this role, you'll partner with surgeons and an interdisciplinary team to manage pre- and post-operative pathways, optimize clinical quality, and guide patients and families through the surgical journey. You will develop and refine evidence-based protocols, track outcomes, support performance improvement initiatives, and serve as a clinical resource. Responsibilities
- Coordinate orthopedic surgery patient care across the continuum, from pre-op through post-op follow-up
- Develop, implement, and refine evidence-based ortho surgery care pathways and protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, therapists, and other team members to optimize outcomes
- Provide patient and family education on procedures, recovery expectations, and self-care
- Monitor quality, safety, and clinical outcomes; support performance improvement initiatives
- Use EHR and data tools to track volumes, throughput, and key program metrics
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing and support staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and infection prevention standards
- Support scheduling, patient flow, and coordination of multidisciplinary visits
- Participate in staff training, community outreach, and program development projects
