Senior Mammography Technologist

Job Description

Swedish Health Services is seeking a Senior Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality breast imaging services in a patient-first, mission-driven environment. In this role, you will perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, support image-guided procedures, ensure accurate imaging protocols, and maintain quality and safety standards. You will educate and comfort patients, collaborate closely with radiologists and nurses, and help optimize workflow and equipment performance. As a senior team member, you will mentor staff, support process improvements, and contribute to a culture of compassion, excellence, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms following established protocols
  • Assist with image-guided breast procedures and ensure accurate image acquisition
  • Uphold radiation safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort and cooperation
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to coordinate patient care
  • Review images for diagnostic quality and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Maintain and monitor mammography equipment and report service needs
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Mentor and support technologists and students as a senior resource
  • Contribute to workflow optimization and continuous process improvement initiatives
