MRI Technologist

Job Description

Providence Health and Services seeks an MRI Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging for diverse patient populations. You will operate MRI equipment, follow safety and infection-control protocols, and collaborate with radiologists and care teams to ensure accurate, timely exams. Responsibilities include patient screening, positioning, contrast administration, and exam documentation in the EMR. Responsibilities

  • Perform and optimize MRI examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
  • Prepare, screen, and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operate and troubleshoot MRI scanners and related imaging equipment.
  • Administer or assist with contrast agents following safety and allergy protocols.
  • Maintain accurate exam documentation and workflow in the EMR and PACS systems.
  • Adhere to MRI safety, infection control, and regulatory standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and allied staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on procedures and address questions and concerns.
  • Support orientation and mentoring of new technologists or students.
  • Participate in quality improvement, equipment maintenance coordination, and ongoing training.
