Radiology Interventional Technologist

Job Description

Join Providence Health and Services as a Radiology Interventional Technologist providing image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a mission-driven, patient-centered setting. You will prepare and position patients, operate interventional radiology equipment, assist physicians during complex procedures, monitor patient status, and follow strict radiation safety and infection-control protocols. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health staff while supporting compassionate, high-quality care for diverse and vulnerable populations across our integrated health system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform image-guided interventional radiology procedures under physician direction
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients for procedures
  • Operate and troubleshoot interventional radiology and fluoroscopy equipment
  • Apply radiation safety standards for patients, self, and staff
  • Maintain sterile fields and follow infection-control protocols
  • Monitor patient status and vital signs during procedures
  • Administer or assist with contrast media and medications per policy
  • Document procedures accurately in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health team members
  • Support mission-driven, compassionate care for diverse patient populations
