Registered Radiologic Technologist

Job Description

Prisma Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams in a patient-centered, collaborative environment. In this PRN role, you will verify orders, prepare and position patients, operate radiography equipment, and ensure optimal image quality while strictly following radiation safety and infection control standards. You'll document in EMR/PACS, support radiologists and the care team, and provide compassionate service aligned with Prisma Health's mission to improve community health. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic exams following physician orders and safety protocols
  • Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and position patients correctly for imaging
  • Operate radiographic equipment and ensure image quality for accurate diagnosis
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and maintain proper shielding and exposure controls
  • Document procedures, enter data in EMR systems, and maintain accurate patient records
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians to support patient care plans
  • Maintain and troubleshoot radiology equipment, reporting issues promptly
  • Follow infection control, regulatory, and Prisma Health policies and procedures
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and support Prisma Health's mission
