Job Description
Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is seeking an MRI Technologist PRN Plus to perform high-quality MRI imaging in a fast-paced tertiary care and teaching environment. In this PRN role, you will conduct MRI exams per physician orders, ensure accurate positioning, and maintain patient comfort and safety. You will collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams, follow strict safety and infection control standards, and document exams in the EMR. This position offers exposure to complex cases, advanced technology, and ongoing learning in a mission-driven, patient-centered culture.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning during MRI procedures
- Screen patients for MRI contraindications and obtain necessary consents
- Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment and related imaging systems
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to optimize diagnostic quality
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in electronic systems
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and hospital regulatory standards
- Support student technologists and participate in ongoing training and quality improvement
