Job Description
OhioHealth is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high-quality CT imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical staff to support accurate diagnoses and excellent patient care. You will prepare and position patients, operate CT equipment, follow radiation safety standards, and maintain accurate records. Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging exams according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure high-quality images and a safe, comfortable experience.
- Operate CT scanners and related imaging software, selecting and adjusting protocols as appropriate.
- Administer or assist with IV contrast media according to policy, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Apply radiation safety principles and optimize dose in accordance with ALARA guidelines.
- Recognize and communicate urgent or critical findings to radiologists and care teams as required by protocol.
- Document procedures, contrast use, and patient information accurately in the EMR.
- Manage and verify image transfer, labeling, and archiving within PACS systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and prepared imaging environment, including room turnover and equipment checks.
- Participate in quality control activities and assist with basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to coordinate patient care and workflow.
