Patient Access Specialist

Ensemble Health Partners seeks a Patient Access Specialist to support accurate, timely patient registration and financial clearance for hospital and clinic services. In this role, you will collect and validate demographics and insurance, verify eligibility and authorizations, estimate patient responsibility, and discuss financial options to support a positive patient experience. You will use EHR and revenue cycle systems, follow HIPAA and payer guidelines, resolve registration issues, and collaborate with clinical and billing teams. Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately, capturing required demographic and insurance information
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations prior to service
• Calculate and communicate patient financial responsibility and payment options
• Collect copays, deposits, and other patient payments at point of service
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer rules, and hospital policies
• Use EHR and revenue cycle systems to document and update patient accounts
• Resolve registration, insurance, and coverage issues to avoid denials
• Collaborate with clinical, billing, and scheduling teams to ensure smooth patient access
• Assist patients with questions about bills and financial assistance programs
• Meet productivity, quality, and customer service standards set by Ensemble Health Partners
