Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a CT/Multimodality Radiologic Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging for diverse patient populations. In this role, you will perform CT and general radiographic exams using advanced equipment, ensuring accurate images, patient safety, and compassionate care. You'll collaborate closely with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams, follow evidence-based protocols, and uphold radiation safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT and general radiologic imaging exams following physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients safely, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and radiation protection.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain CT and radiography equipment, ensuring accurate imaging and image quality.
  • Verify patient identification, review histories, and ensure appropriate use of contrast agents, monitoring for reactions.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnosis and coordinated patient care.
  • Document exams accurately in the EMR/RIS/PACS and maintain detailed records, images, and quality checks.
  • Follow ALARA principles and adhere to all radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with training, precepting, and mentoring of students or new technologists as needed.
  • Participate in on-call, weekend, or holiday rotations to support 24/7 imaging services.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support research or protocol development as appropriate.
