REGISTERED NURSE

Intermountain Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery to provide safe, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced, team-based unit. In this role, you will perform maternal and fetal assessments, manage labor, assist with deliveries, support OB emergencies, and deliver postpartum and newborn care. You will collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, educate and advocate for patients and families, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives within our mission-driven, patient-centered culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients and newborns.
• Continuously assess maternal and fetal status, interpret EFM, and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and epidural support per provider orders and protocols.
• Collaborate with OB providers, anesthesia, pediatrics, and support staff in a team-based environment.
• Educate and support patients and families on birth processes, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EHR.
• Participate in emergency response including obstetric and neonatal resuscitation.
• Uphold infection-prevention standards and patient-safety initiatives.
• Contribute to quality-improvement efforts and follow Intermountain Health clinical guidelines.
• Precept and mentor new nurses and support a culture of compassion and continuous improvement.
