Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiologic examinations according to physician orders and protocols
- Operate and maintain radiographic and related imaging equipment safely and effectively
- Position and prepare patients, ensuring comfort, privacy, and radiation safety
- Verify patient identity and exam information, and document procedures accurately in the EMR/RISApply ALARA principles and follow all radiation safety and infection control policies
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Evaluate images for technical quality and repeat studies only when medically necessary
- Assist with contrast procedures and emergency imaging as directed
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment in clean, ready-to-use condition
- Participate in continuing education, quality improvement, and departmental initiatives
