Job Description
Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) is seeking a physician leader to serve as Medical Director of Urgent Care. This role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, providing oversight of physician and advanced practice clinician performance, operational excellence, quality initiatives, workforce engagement, and strategic growth across the Urgent Care service line. The Medical Director will partner closely with operational leaders, foundation dyads, and medical group leadership to advance high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture for clinicians and staff.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical guidance and support to physicians and APCs
- Promote evidence-based care, patient safety, and quality outcomes
- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of clinical workflows
- Support departmental scheduling in collaboration with the Associate Medical Director
- Assist with provider staffing, schedule optimization, shift coverage, and QGenda oversight
- Partner closely with Physician Recruitment to attract and hire high-quality clinicians
- Mentor and support the Associate Medical Director
- Collaborate with group and Foundation leadership to improve access, productivity, patient experience, and financial performance
Compensation
- $375,000 - $425,000 /Yr.
- Competitive compensation package, including leadership compensation and productivity incentives
- Shareholder eligibility after two years

Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- Active and unrestricted California Medical License
- Current DEA registration prior to employment
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- Previous medical leadership experience preferred
