Cherry County Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams for patients across our rural community hospital. In this role, you will conduct abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small-parts studies, optimize images for accurate interpretation, and collaborate closely with radiologists, providers, and nursing staff. You will educate and comfort patients, maintain equipment and exam rooms, follow infection control and safety protocols, and support quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives in a close-knit, team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts studies
- Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort and exam quality
- Optimize images and adhere to imaging protocols for accurate interpretation
- Collaborate with radiologists, providers, and nursing staff on patient care
- Document procedures and findings in PACS/EMR systems accurately and timely
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and exam rooms, reporting any issues promptly
- Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Support on-call or after-hours imaging needs as scheduled
- Participate in quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives
- Contribute to a compassionate, team-oriented, rural hospital environment
