The University of Vermont Health Network seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic MRI exams in our academic healthcare setting. Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams following physician orders and safety protocols
- Screen patients for contraindications, obtain histories, and explain procedures
- Position patients and operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Monitor patient comfort and safety, including use of contrast agents
- Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to optimize imaging and workflow
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and report service needs
- Document procedures accurately within the electronic medical record
- Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards
- Support training of students/new staff and participate in quality improvement
