MRI Technologist

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic MRI exams in our academic healthcare setting. In this patient-centered role, you will screen and prepare patients, operate advanced MRI technology, and collaborate closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate, timely imaging. Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams following physician orders and safety protocols
• Screen patients for contraindications, obtain histories, and explain procedures
• Position patients and operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images
• Monitor patient comfort and safety, including use of contrast agents
• Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to optimize imaging and workflow
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and report service needs
• Document procedures accurately within the electronic medical record
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards
• Support training of students/new staff and participate in quality improvement
