CT Technologist

Job Description

Legacy Health, a nonprofit, community-focused health system in Portland, seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging for diverse patient populations. In this role, you'll perform CT exams using established protocols, ensure accurate positioning and image quality, and work closely with radiologists and care teams to support timely diagnoses. You'll prioritize patient safety, comfort, and radiation protection while documenting exams in PACS and EMR systems. Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT imaging studies following physician orders and department protocols
  • Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably for CT procedures
  • Operate and troubleshoot CT scanners and related imaging equipment
  • Review images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists on findings
  • Verify patient identification and obtain medical history and consent as needed
  • Administer contrast agents per protocol and monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and PACSAdhere to radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and care teams
  • Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and cross-training
