Certified CT Technologist

Job Description

The University of Vermont Medical Center, a leader in community health and medical innovation, is seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to join our radiology department in Burlington, VT. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services using computed tomography (CT) technology. This position requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in CT technology, patient positioning, and radiation safety, ensuring that all procedures are conducted with the utmost accuracy and care.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT imaging equipment to produce images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists to determine appropriate imaging techniques and ensure the quality of images.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients accurately for CT scans.
  • Administer contrast materials as needed under the direction of the medical team.
  • Keep accurate patient records and maintain the confidentiality and security of all patient information.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting of CT equipment.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, particularly those involving health and safety.
