Job Description
Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist to support complex cardiovascular procedures in a high-acuity operating room. In this role, you will prepare and maintain a sterile field, manage specialized instruments and equipment, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures. Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for cardiovascular surgeries in the CVORSet up, manage, and troubleshoot surgical instruments and equipment
- Anticipate surgeons' and nurses' needs during procedures
- Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping according to protocols
- Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and sharps counts
- Follow infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times
- Collaborate with the surgical team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Document required intraoperative information accurately and timely
