Work Hours: Full-Time; Monday – Friday from 4:30am to 1:00pm

Education
· High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
Experience
· 1 year of relevant experience in a high-volume restaurant, hospital, or Institution is required, or commiserate education and/or experience required.
Certificate & Licenses
· FHC - Food Handlers Certificate 30 Days Required.
Skills
· Reading, basic math, written language in English is required.
· Understanding of safe food handling and quality standards of food products.
· Basic computer skills required.
· Good communication and organizational skills to exercise independent judgment.
· Basic knowledge of food budget and ability to adjust costs accordingly.
What You Will Do:
· Purchase items based on vendor contracts and par levels utilizing computer. Fully understands CMAs. Purchase highest quality for the value. Maintain/update order guides as necessary.
· Monitor and collaborate the surveillance and/or security of the food and supply inventory.
· Monitor expenditures for budget compliance.
· Inspect delivered products against established standards; rejects products not meeting those standards. Reads and understands invoices; knows procedures for obtaining credit from vendors for discrepancy in invoicing.
· Consults with Supervisors, Managers or Directors and vendors, as appropriate, on inventory management. Maintains appropriate record keeping.
· Monitor the requisition, distribution and inventory of products. Report variances to Director/Manager.
· Maintain storeroom and refrigerator areas to meet all standards for food safety and sanitation. Follows proper hand hygiene.
· Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

The hospital continues to grow and visiting campus today you will find a Women's Imaging and Breast Center, a bariatric clinic, an ambulatory surgery center and a variety of physician practices all dedicated to our evolving community health needs. You will see that our long awaited expansion is well underway! This expansion, focused on a healthy future in this high growth area of North Texas, will double the size of our hospital adding more patient beds, a Level 2 NICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and expanding other departments including Labor & Delivery, OR and the emergency room.
