Director, Integration Initiatives

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Integration, the Director is responsible for leading large scale organizational integration and strategic priorities within the Integration Management Office (IMO), ensuring that BILH realizes its vision to create a transformative health system that makes a difference in the lives of our patients, families and communities.

Serving as a trusted advisor to executive and operational leaders, the Director provides project leadership, analytical expertise, and implementation support for large-scale cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination across multiple stakeholders, domains, and sites of care. Examples of such domains include but are not limited to cancer, primary care, behavioral health, population health management, lab, pharmacy, supply chain, and human resources

Responsible for collaborating with system "clients", including BILH and local executives, to define the vision for each initiative and the definition of success. The Director designs and organizes the various workstreams and inter-dependencies and is ultimately responsible for the development of a comprehensive workplan and performance measurement plan. The Director is responsible for establishing and leading project governance structures, monitoring project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and supporting change management activities necessary to achieve integration and strategic objectives.
Depending on the scope and complexity of the initiative, the Director will serve as, or will oversee the effort of, a project manager overseeing cross-functional teams. In this role, the Director will manage the activities of other team members, including IMO colleagues.

Primary Responsibilities

Understands and effectively communicates BILH's integration and strategic priorities. Collaborates with executive sponsors, system service leaders, and local leadership teams to design and implement initiatives that support system-wide strategic, operational, clinical, and financial objectives.

Designs, leads and manages complex integration and strategic initiatives that require broad organizational support and cross-functional collaboration across multiple stakeholders, departments, and sites of care.  Leads client through root cause analysis to diagnose problems, identify opportunities, and generate/evaluate potential solutions against clearly established criteria.

Establishes project governance structures, meeting cadences, reporting processes, and decision-making frameworks to support successful execution. Identifies, assesses, and proactively manages project risks, issues, dependencies, and resource requirements, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and achievement of project milestones.

Effectively prioritizes projects to complete work within established guidelines and timeframes. Maintains consistency and quality in project management practices across assigned initiatives while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and established methodologies.

Facilitates communication among project sponsors, executives, and operational leaders to ensure organizational alignment, transparency, and effective decision-making; proactively communicates risks, issues, and opportunities to ensure successful cross-functional integration and timely execution.

Develops and delivers executive-level presentations, analyses, recommendations, and status reports to system leadership, project sponsors, and governance committees regarding initiative risks, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations.

 Manages, coaches, and develops Project Managers and other assigned team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment focused on accountability, flexibility, innovation, continuous improvement, and exceptional client service.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, public health or related fields required. Master's degree in business administration, healthcare management, public health or related fields preferred.

At least 10 years of related work experience required in healthcare management, and/or project management, operations, or consulting in a healthcare setting.

Demonstrated experience developing trusted relationships with executive and operational leaders and leading through influence within highly matrixed organizations. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience working in a large, complex healthcare organization required. Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation initiatives preferred.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate, synthesize, interpret, and present complex quantitative and operational data to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and foster collaboration and partnership across organizational boundaries. Working knowledge of project management methodologies, issue resolution, risk management, performance reporting, and organizational change management principles.

Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making, facilitate stakeholder alignment, and drive successful implementation of strategic initiatives.

Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications, including Smartsheets. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.

 

 

Pay Range:

$140,000.00 USD - $175,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
