Work hours: PRN, 7:00pm – 7:00am
Mom/Baby Department highlights:
· Level II Maternal Designation with Level II NICU
· Certified Nurse Midwife Hospitalist Based Model
· 8 LDRPs, 5 Antepartum Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms
· 40 – 45 deliveries per month

· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 required OR
· Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology upon hire required OR
· Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology upon hire preferred
· Women’s Health experience preferred
· 1 year current operating room experience preferred
· CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and agraduate of an accredited surgical tech program Upon Hire required or
· CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 Upon Hire required or
· CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Upon Hire required or
· LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire required and
· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Upon Hire required and
· CPT – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 90 days required
What You Will Do
· Assist in providing peri-operative care for a patient population that includes Infants, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics
· Assist with stocking Unit (Rooms and Supplies)
· Attend Vaginal Deliveries
· Preoperatively assist R.N. circulator in formulating plan of care
· Assist as needed in coordinating patient care peri-operatively and assume responsibility and accountability for behavior in order to maintain standards for professional nursing practice
· Post-operatively follow proper procedures for care of instruments, supplies and equipment. Under supervision, assist RN circulator with post-operative duties
· Assiss in the delivering of nursing care in a manner that minimizes the risk of transfer of infection and accidental contamination.

You will see that our long awaited expansion is well underway! This expansion, focused on a healthy future in this high growth area of North Texas, will double the size of our hospital adding more patient beds, a Level 2 NICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and expanding other departments including Labor & Delivery, OR and the emergency room.
